New water heater is in

Tankless water heater is in; YAY! Neil did all the hard stuff, but I made a bunch of Lowe's runs, held pipes while he soldered them and helped unscrew stuff, so I'm saying I helped!

Please consider donating! Racing Against Leukemia

neilschelly's picture
Every year, I participate in the Racing Against Leukemia (RAL) event with the New England Region (NER) of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Please consider contributing to the event fundraising effort. I'm trying to beat the $250 I raised last year.

Happy 80th Nana! (Plus Birthdays, Cirque & Tall Ships)

jenschelly's picture
Lots going on again. Here's my update. Sorry for the lack of photos.

June 26-28

Nana Billie turned 80! Woohoo! We went down to DC to celebrate with family and congratulate her. Everyone came in for it, including our MA crew and the uncle, aunt, and cousins from Utah. It was a good time. We ate way too much, hung out by the pool, and went to see Transformers of course. :-) For those of you that don't know, Billie is my maternal grandmother.

July 2-5

Happy Birthday Neil! With all our traveling all Neil really wanted to do for his b-day was rest and work on the car. We also went to see The Hangover and Up. Both good flicks.

July 10-12

Happy 5th Anniversary to us! Yup, Neil and I are officially old. We've been married a full 5 years now, putting the time we've known each other at over a decade. Yikes! To celebrate we saw Cirque du Soleil's Alegria on Friday night; it was terrific! I always walk away from Cirque shows stunned. Saturday we went down to Boston to see the Tall Ships and have dinner near the water. They were pretty impressive sailing vessels. Sunday was an auto-cross and Kathy (Neil's mom) came up for it. Throughout the weekend Neil worked on the engine and now has the short block built. It was also Chris' & Faith's birthday this weekend; Happy Birthday to them!

Fundraising for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

jenschelly's picture

This year Mike & Kris's wedding will preclude me from walking in the breast cancer walk, but they are going to let me fund raise anyway. I guess charities don't turn away fund raisers. :-) This will be my sixth year participating in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer; holy cow I'm getting old! There is no pressure to donate (half of the point is awareness), but if you are interested in donating please use the link below or go to http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jenschelly.
